Through resilience programmes funded by USAID, European union and other donors TUPADO has implemented interventions aimed at building resilience to drought and adaptive capacity of vulnerable communities in the Turkana county and neigbouring countries of Eastern Africa. This we do through construction of water rehabilitation of pipes and solar/hand pumps to provide water for human and livestock consumption, retaining structures suitable for ASAL pastoral areas. The programming also focuses on trainings of community water operators & associations, exposure visits for pastoralists on water use, training communities on operation, maintenance and governance of water infrastructure for sustainability purposes.
